Privacy Policy
What we collect, why, and what we don't. Last updated July 22, 2026.
This policy explains how Brisket & Bark(“we,” “us”) handles information when you visit brisketandbark.com. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the site, and we do not sell your personal information.Brisket & Bark is published by Type 5 Marketing LLC.
Information you give us
The only information you actively provide is through our contact form: your name, email address, a topic, and your message. We use it solely to read and reply to your message — usually a correction, a product suggestion, or a question about how we work. Messages are sent to our team inbox; we don’t add you to any marketing list, and we don’t share the contents with third parties except the email provider that delivers the message to us.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4)to understand how the site is used — which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from, and what devices and browsers they use. This is aggregate, statistical data; we use it to see which guides are useful and what to improve, not to identify you personally. Google may set cookies or similar identifiers to do this. You can block them in your browser or use a tracking-blocker without losing access to any content. See Google’s privacy policy for how they process this data.
Affiliate links and cookies
Many product links on the site are affiliate links (see our affiliate disclosure). When you click one and visit a retailer such as Amazon, that retailer may set its own cookie to attribute a purchase to us so we can earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That cookie is set by Amazon under the Amazon Associates program and their own privacy policy, not by us, and it contains no information you entered on our site.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell or rent your personal information.
- We don’t run our own advertising trackers or ad network.
- We don’t require you to create an account — there are no logins.
- We don’t knowingly build a profile on you across other websites.
How long we keep it
We keep contact-form messages only as long as we need them to handle your inquiry and any follow-up. Analytics data is retained in aggregate under Google’s standard GA4 retention settings. If you’ve contacted us and want your message and details deleted from our inbox, just ask — see below.
Your choices
You can browse the entire site without providing any personal information. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with a browser add-on. To have a message you sent us removed, email info@brisketandbark.com and we’ll remove it.
Children
The site is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the current version.
